874WThe statutory arrangements governing the legal deposit of books in the deposit libraries are being looked at in the light of the report of the Whitford committee on copyright and designs law—Cmnd. 6732. The costs of legal deposit are, of course, already taken into account for tax purposes and I have noted the suggestion in the report for additional tax relief.
