§ Mr. Dodsworthasked the Prime Minister what further consideration she has given to the advice which she proposes to tender to Her Majesty the Queen 425W concerning Her Majesty's proposed visit to Zambia.
§ The Prime MinisterI have given deep and careful consideration to this question. I have received from the Government of the Republic of Zambia assurances that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of the Queen and of those attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting. In addition there has been and continues to be close consultation between the Zambian and British authorities on these arrangements. In the light of these assurances and of the arrangements that are being made, I have concluded that it is not necessary for me to advise the Queen against going to Zambia.
