§ Mr. HayhoeThe training provided for Service personnel is primarily intended to equip them for the performance of their military duties. Nevertheless, many of them acquire formal qualifications and skills, either through apprentice training or other types of training, which are of434W value to them on their return to civilian life. This is the case, for example, in the engineering, supply, secretarial and accounting, catering, medical and dental trades. In addition, there are opportunities to study for Open University degrees and GCE examinations.
