§ Mr. Jim LesterThere may be some reduction in certain inner city areas, in particular because of the withdrawal of the small firms employment subsidy scheme, but I do not believe that this will result in a net loss of jobs, since the Government's policy of restoring incen-446W tives, encouraging efficiency and creating a climate in which industry and commerce can flourish will bring into existence more jobs in these areas.
