§ Mr. Bagierasked the Lord Privy Seal (1) if Her Majesty's Government will place on the agenda of the Council of Ministers of the Council of Europe a proposal in 461W pursuance of recommendation 862 of the Assembly to set up an inter-disciplinary expert committee to elaborate new policies on the cinema;
(2) what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government towards Council of Europe recommendation 862—the cinema and the State.
§ Mr. HurdThe Government note that Council of Europe recommendation 862 on the cinema and the State has been placed on the agenda for the 307th meeting of the Committee of Ministers Deputies in Strasbourg in September for an initial discussion and will use this opportunity to take account of the views of other member States in formulating their own attitude to the recommendation.
