HL Deb 12 July 1979 vol 401 c1124WA
Lord VAIZEY

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they are inviting views on the consultative paper, Providing Educational Opportunities for 16–18 Year-Olds, issued by the previous Labour Administration.

The MINISTER of STATE, DEPARTMENT of EDUCATION and SCIENCE (Baroness Young)

The consultative paper raises many important and pertinent questions about the local planning of educational provision for 16–18 year-olds. The views of those concerned would contribute most helpfully to the review of the relationship between schools, further education and training which the Government are undertaking. We are therefore renewing the invitation to comment extended in the paper.
