§ Mr. Crowtherasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, in the light of the increases in National Health Service prescription charges, he will consider extending the provision of free prescriptions to young people who are over the age of 16 years but still receiving full-time education.
§ Mr. PrenticeMy right hon. Friend has no such plans at present. However, many young people over the age of 16 in full-time education can claim exemption from these charges on low income grounds in their own right, irrespective of their parents' income.
