§ Mr. WhitelawThe Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis tells me that 1,474 police oflicers were deployed on the occasion of the Gay Pride march, from Temple Place to Hyde Park on 30 June. The cost of the police deployment is not available. The march occasioned no disorder and there were no arrests.
