§ Mr. Heddleasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether the expenses arising out of the care and rehabilitation of the 400 Vietnamese refugees currently residing at Nelson Hall, Cotes Heath, near Stafford, will fall on the Exchequer; and whether arrangements are being made for the Staffordshire county council to be reimbursed for the expenses it is currently making in relation to their educational needs and medical care.
§ Mr. RaisonThe Government are providing financial assistance to the Ockenden Venture which is responsible for the refugees at Nelson Hall. Requests have been received from local authorities for financial assistance towards services provided for refugees in reception centres in their areas and are being carefully con-118W sidered. No decision, however, has yet been reached.
