§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Energy, based on the estimated nuclear capacity for 1990 in the United Kingdom and France of 13GW and 65GW, respectively, what he estimates would be the comparative energy costs by that date failing immediate revision of the United Kingdom programme.
§ Mr. Norman LamontI have no estimates of comparative costs for 1990 on the lines requested but clearly the level of electricity demand, the movement of fossil fuel prices and the costs of systems installed at that date will be relevant.
