§ Mr. Richard Shepherdasked the Secretary of State for Energy what plans the Coal Board has to increase or reduce its activities in industrial activities other than coal production; and if the policy of Her Majesty's Government is to encourage the Coal Board to sell some of its investments in these areas of production.
§ Mr. John Moore, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 27 June 1979; Vol. 969, c. 260], gave the following further answer:
The National Coal Board has no major proposals for changes in the scope of such activities.
The Government are reviewing the scope for the sale of assets in the public sector.
