HC Deb 05 July 1979 vol 969 cc660-1W
Mr. Marlow

asked the Minister for the Civil Service whether he has considered placing the contract for printing the Official Report and other essential House of Commons papers with an organisation that does not employ trade union labour.

Mr. Channon

I am at present reviewing with the controller the printing arrangements of Her Majesty's Stationery Office but, having regard to the complexity of the issues involved, I have yet to reach a conclusion.

The criteria for purchases in the public sector do not differentiate between firms employing trade union labour and those who do not.
