§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when the present road works at Comber, Carryduff, Co. Down will be completed; how long the work has so far taken; and why consideration was not given to the road users by carrying out work on half of the road at one time.
§ Mr. GoodhartThese roadworks have so far taken about 33 weeks but should be completed at the end of August. The contractor has worked on half of the road at a time so far as possible. However, peat has had to be excavated to a depth of 2 metres and it has been unsafe to allow traffic to use the other half of the road at the same time.
