§ Mr. Trippierasked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will support a multi-footwear arrangement similar to that in the textile industry; and if he will arrange for negotiations to be set up in the European Economic Community for this purpose.
§ Mr. Parkinson, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 2 July 1979], gave the following answer:
Footwear imports from a number of sources are already under restraint. I do not think that there is any case at present for extending these arrangements.
