asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many members of the Central Policy Review Staff have served in the institutions of the EEC; and whether the number is satisfactory.

The Central Policy Review Staff has at present one member who has served in the office of the United Kingdom Representative to the European Communities (UKREP). Others have been in close touch with Community institutions when their work has required it, both before and during their CPRS service. Her Majesty's Government consider this satisfactory.
