§ Mr. Kimballasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if, in the event of Aujeszky's disease becoming established in the pig population in England, he will give urgent consideration to a policy of compulsory eradication.
§ Mr. WigginAujeszky's disease will shortly be made notifiable. This will assist in keeping its incidence under close surveillance. A major factor governing any decision to commit public funds and manpower to an eradication policy would be the balance between likely cost and the benefits which might be expected to accrue.
