§ Mr. St. John-StevasTwo hon. Members disclaimed the last salary increase. Since the general election all hon. Members are receiving a Parliamentary salary in accordance with the resolution of the House of 28 July 1978 and no requests have been received for disclaiming any part of the salary.
§ Mr. Cryerasked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he will make it a condition of any new salary scales for hon. Members that they follow the duties of an hon. Member full-time without salaried remuneration from any other occupation or profession.
