§ Mr. McQuarrieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in view of the restrictions being placed by certain local authorities in Scotland upon the sale of council houses to sitting tennants, he will take steps to ensure that those local authorities are required to implement the undertaking of the Government in this matter.
§ Mr. RifkindYes. My right hon. Friend will be introducing legislation later this year to give most sitting tenants of houses owned by public housing authorities in Scotland the right to buy the houses they live in.
