§ Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for Industry, in view of the fact that Lucas Ltd. is currently closing down its ballscrew production at Hemel Hempstead, on what grounds his Department is proposing to offer aid of up to £1 million to a German-based organisation, on whose behalf Mr. de Bloeme, a former Lucas director, is acting, specifically to manufacture ballscrews at Barnstaple.
