§ Mr. MeacherBecause if we had made these limited extra funds available throughout the country they would have been spread too thinly to be effective. We extended the scheme to the inter-322W mediate areas, which have plenty of potential for tourism development and are economically in greater need of assistance than other parts of the country, including the South-East.
