§ Mr. Robert SheldonTotal personal income per capita before tax is estimated to have been £1,839 in Wales, £1,923 in Scotland, and £2,040 in England, in 1976 the latest year for which estimates are available. These estimates are on a different basis to those given for Welsh counties in reply to the hon. Member on 28 June 1978, which were average taxable incomes per tax unit.
