§ Mr. Freudasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will make available the background papers presented to the National Council on the Employment of Disabled People.
§ Mr. John Grant, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 19 January 1979; Vol. c. 916], gave the following information:
No. It is, however, the practice of the Manpower Services Commission to publish the relevant background information on the development of its policies for disabled people, on which the National Advisory Council on Employment of Disabled People is consulted. Early last year it published, with the full support of the national advisory council, its development programme on employment and training of disabled people. This sets out proposals for the development of its services for disabled people over the next five to 10 years and is designed to stimulate debate about future policy alternatives.
