§ Mr. Eldon Griffithsasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the RAF attendance at the recent Red Flag Exercise in the United States of America.
§ Mr. WellbelovedBuccaneer and Jaguar aircraft from RAF Strike Com-194W mand and RAF Germany, and Vulcans from Strike Command, participated in October and November last year in training at the USAF Red Flag facility in Nevada. The facility provides a unique simulation of the air and ground defences the RAF should be likely to encounter in war. This participation demonstrated the skill and high standard of training of our aircrews and the effectiveness of RAF low-level high-speed penetration tactics. It was also evidence of the importance of regular and realistic training for RAF aircrews in these tactics.
