§ Mr. Reidasked the Lord Advocate if he will undertake to make application to the Court of Session for correction of the electoral register in exercise of the courts' nobile officium when (a) the register is manifestly incorrect, but (b) the statutory period for objection has expired without fault of interested parties.
The Lord AdvocateNo. Only in exceptional circumstances would the court exercise thenobile officium to rectify the register. In any event an application to rectify the register would properly be brought by the elector himself.
