asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what action she is taking to support the International Year of the Child.

My Department is co-operating with other Departments in a concerted Government response to the International Year of the Child. The Department of Health and Social Security is taking the lead in these arrangements and I refer my hon. Friend to the replies she received from my right hon. Friend the Minister of State, Department of Health and Social Security on 2 August 1978—[Vol. 955, c. 448–9]—and today, and to his reply to a Question from my hon.
