§ Mrs. Jegerasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether, in view of the need for increased primary health care in the Somerstown area of Camden, he will now agree to the building of the Polygon health centre; and whether he will give first priority to the long-term health requirements of the local people.
§ Mr. Moyle:The decision on the proposed health centre in Somerstown is a matter for the North-East Thames regional health authority. The authority 942W has not included the scheme in its building programme because of the lack of interest among local general practitioners. I understand that the authority has, however, in its strategic plan for 1978–1988, given as one of its objectives increasing the resources available for primary care.
