§ Mr. Onslowasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has made to the Nigerian authorities about the increasing delays in payments by public sector purchasers for imports from the United Kingdom, and the corresponding delays by the Nigerian Central Bank in handling foreign exchange applications.
§ Mr. Rowlands:We have brought these delays to the attention of the Nigerian authorities on a number of occasions in recent months, both in Lagos and in London. My right hon. Friend recently raised the issue with a member of the Federal Military Government.
