§ Mr. Patrick Jenkinasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he intends to appeal against the decision of the Appeal Court on 20th December that golden handshakes to Service men and Service women who have lost their jobs through defence cuts do not bar them from receiving unemployment benefit.
§ Mr. Ennals:I understand that the insurance officer, with whom the decision whether or not to appeal rests, does not intend to petition for leave to appeal to the House of Lords.
