We have no immediate plans for general legislation but we are considering whether it is necessary and practicable to introduce a statutory scheme to control the breeding and supply of experimental animals—recommendations 20, 21 and 77–82. Administrative arrangements are currenly under review and the implementation of more recommendations administratively will be further considered.
