§ Mr. JohnThe total number of certificates of unruliness issued by juvenile courts in 1978 was 3,546; 3,404 for boys and 142 for girls. The number of juveniles remanded in custody would have been slightly less than the number of certificates issued because a few juveniles would have been remanded more than once but the reduction would not be significant.
