§ Mr. John GrantI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that, in January 1978, there were 148,688 disabled people unemployed. In January 1979, the number of unemployed disabled people was 139,745. The decrease in the numbers unemployed of 8,943 is a welcome indication of the effectiveness of the measures being taken to improve employment opportunities for disabled people.
