§ 43. Mr. Andrew F. Bennettasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he is satisfied with pedestrian crossing facilities on Didsbury Road, Heaton Mersey, Stock- port; and if they achieve the safety promised when the widening of that road was proposed.
§ Mr. HoramThe responsibility for ensuring that there are satisfactory pedestrian crossing facilities on Didsbury Road is a matter for Greater Manchester county council as the local highway authority. The Department has, however, approved an application for the provision of a pelican crossing and it is now for the county council to see to its installation.
