§ Mr. MoyleSuch a list is not available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. The Medicines (Data Sheet) Regulations 1972 require companies to convey contra-indications, warnings and precautions to doctors. Although many data sheets already refer to pregnancy, I shall soon be consulting about revision of these regulations to propose, on the advise of the Committee on the Review of Medicines, that each data sheet should make specific reference to how safe the medicinal product is for use in pregnancy. However, the treatment appropriate to a particular patient is entirely a matter for the clinical judgment of the prescribing doctor.
