§ Mr. Kenneth Clarkeasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will set out the ways in which the £250,000 allocated for communicating the industrial strategy in 1978 was spent.
§ Mr. Joel BarnettOf the £250,000 provided in 1978–79 for communicating the industrial strategy, £50,000 has been allocated directly to the TUC as a grant in aid towards certain expenses incurred in organising conferences about the industrial strategy for trade unionists. To date, nearly £21,000 has been disbursed by the TUC.
Of the remaining £200,000 the National Economic Development Office had spent £112,000 by 31 January 1979 on the following items:

§ Mr. George Rodgersasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make available the papers prepared on the industrial strategy for the meeting of the National Economic Development Council on 7 February.
§ Mr. HealeyI have arranged for copies of the three main papers taken at the NEDC meeting, amended in order to exclude information which must remain confidential, to be placed in the Library.
