§ Mr. Wattasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, pursuant to the written answer by his hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Trade of 4 December 1978, he can now announce where the stockpiles of specialised equipment for use in the even of serious oil pollution will be kept; and when these depots will be fully stocked and operational.
§ Mr. Denis HowellThe final location of the stockpile of specialised oil pollution clearance equipment requires further consultation both with the local authority associations for England and Wales and with the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities before a firm decision is taken. A substantial part of the equipment should be delivered by the end of June 1979 and will be available for immediate use.
