§ Mr. Pardoeasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list, for those countries for which the information is available, the percentage of gross national product created by nationalised industries.
§ Mr. Denzil Davies,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 15 February 1979], gave the following information
The percentage of the gross domestic product at factor cost contributed by nationalised industries in the United Kingdom in 1977 was 9.8 per cent.; the corresponding figure in terms of the gross national product is not available. Corresponding information is not available on either basis for other countries.
