§ Mr. Joel BarnettThe Government are aware of the problems which may be faced, by small businesses in particular, as a result of recent industrial problems and are watching the position carefully. But the banks fully understand their customers' position, and are best placed to provide such help as may be appropriate to meet short-term difficulties.
