§ Mr. Gregor MacKenzieThis was a useful and timely meeting which improved the co-ordinating machinery for dealing with major oil spills and will lead to a decision shortly on the siting of the Scottish element of the central government stockpile. The Department and local authorities will continue to keep in touch on these and other aspects of the contingency arrangements.
