§ 39. Mr. David Priceasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many United Kingdom subjects are known to his Department to be still in Iran; and what advice he is giving to them through the embassy in Tehran as to their continued residence in that country.
§ Mr. JuddThere are approximately 2,000 United Kingdom subjects still in Iran. The number continues to fall. On 7 February our ambassador in Tehran repeated to the British community our previous advice that dependants and those without an important need to remain should leave.
