Mr. Brotherton

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what public funds are to be made available in 1979 to the Trades Union Congress (a) for education and training purposes and (b) for any other purposes.

Mr. Oakes

The Government's requirements for voted expenditure for 1979–80 for trade union education and training, as for other purposes, are still under consideration.
