§ Mr. Ralph Howellasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish a table based on the same assumptions as in his reply to the hon. Member for Norfolk, North, 30 November 1978, showing the net weekly spending power in December 1978, in each case for a plaster technician, a hospital porter and an ambulance man—married with two children and each paid the middle grade in the job; and also what would be their net weekly spending power if their basic wages were increased by 8.8 per cent., assuming in each case (a) that they earn only the basic rate for the job and (b) that they earn the average amount of supplements for shift work, overtime etc.
§ Mr. OrmeI regret that I can-not answer this question in view of the disproportionate expense involved.
