§ Mr. Gregor MacKenzieAs well as encouraging the use of microprocessors in industry, my Department is making192W companies in Scotland fully aware of the Government's microelectronics industry support programme, under which £70 million will be available over five years to stimulate the growth of the industry in the United Kingdom. Since last April we have made offers of selective financial assistance in support of Scottish projects representing a total investment of £11 million and providing about 800 new jobs.
