HC Deb 07 February 1979 vol 962 c218W
Mr. Kilfedder

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how much money has been set aside for the reorganisation of the hospital service in the Northern health board area.

Mr. Carter

A major part of the reorganisation of these services is the provision of a new hospital at Antrim. Since negotiations with the nominated contractor for this development have just started, it is not yet possible to indicate the precise development costs.

My noble Friend the Minister of State, together with the chairman of the Northern board, hope to be in a position to make an announcement about the development and its cost shortly.
