HL Deb 06 February 1979 vol 398 cc681-2WA
The Earl of LAUDERDALE

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What progress has been made in discussions with the United Kingdom Offshore Operators' Association about modifying the staged approval procedure.

Lord STRABOLGI

Department of Energy officials have had a number of useful discussions with UKOOA about staged approval procedures over the past 18 months, although these do not supplant the detailed negotiations with individual licensees which are intended to take into account their particular circumstances. Staged approval terms have been agreed with five licensees for six offshore developments.

House adjourned at five minutes before seven o'clock.
