HC Deb 05 February 1979 vol 962 c2W
40. Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many prosecutions have been brought, in each of the past four years, for offences against the immigration laws in which bribery has been involved; how many of these prosecutions were successful; and what total sum has been recovered from fines on those concerned.

Mr. Merlyn Rees

The information requested is not available. The Immigration Act 1971 does not distinguish between offences involving bribery and other offences.
