HC Deb 20 December 1979 vol 976 cc299-300W
Mr. Marlow

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will introduce legislation to enable employers to employ non-unionised sub-contract labour despite the existence of a closed shop in the employer's own organisation.

Mr. Mayhew: There is nothing in the law to prevent any employer using non-unionised sub-contract labour, and I accordingly have no plans for legislation on this subject.
