§ 18. Mr. McQuarrieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he intends to amend the Building Standards (Scotland) Regulations to ensure that all future dwelling houses built in Scotland have a thermal insulation in the cavity walls of a 'U' not more than 0.6 W/m 3, in view of the need to conserve energy and reduce heating costs.
§ Mr. RifkindMy right hon. Friend is at present considering the need for higher standards of thermal insulation for houses to be introduced into the building standards regulations, taking account of energy conservation, cost and technical building requirements.
