§ Mr. McCrindleasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what changes are being made to the cash limit on the Registry of Friendly Societies in the light of the inspection of the Grays Building Society.
§ Mr. BiffenSubject to parliamentary approval, the cash limit will be increased by£51,000 to£739,000 to cover the additional costs of the inspection and the subsequent strengthening of the registry's investigations branch.
