§ Mr. Harold Walkerasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will specify the categories, grades and posts of the 100 civil servants employed by the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service whose jobs will disappear as a result of the Civil Service review.
§ Mr. MayhewIt is expected that the reduction in staffing levels in ACAS will be achieved mainly from savings on individual conciliation work as a result of lower levels of complaints of unfair dismissal to industrial tribunals. However, the details of the reductions which are to be made have still to be considered by the ACAS council.
