§ Dr. BoysonIn September 1979, the number of teachers employed in maintained nursery, primary and secondary schools in England and Wales, including the full-time equivalent of part-time teachers, was 468,000. This compares with 467,900 teachers in September 1978 and with 470,600 in January 1979.
